Gaya: A shocking incident took place in Kushapi village under Dobhi police station area of Gaya district of Bihar, where people were beaten to death by treating a disabled youth as a thief. Late on Tuesday night, mentally handicapped Deepak Lenboogda reached the village of Kushapi. After this, some people saw him and consider him a thief and the crowd gathered. After this, people beat him with sticks. He was killed after being beaten up badly.

Police reached the spot after getting the information of the incident. Police took Deepak to Magadh Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After this, the police took the corpse and sent it for postmortem. According to the police, the handicapped man has been killed. Some people are being questioned about the case. People involved in the incident are being identified. The Dobhi police station said that the matter is being investigated.

On the other hand, relatives said that Deepak's parents died in his childhood. When he grew up, it was revealed that he was mentally challenged. After this Deepak's aunt brought him to his house and started to take care of him. The family said that Deepak used to go out of the village somewhere during the day he came and then he would come back too. On Tuesday, he got out of the house and did not return. He wandered and reached the neighbouring village of Pishapi. People killed him so much that he died as a thief. The family has demanded the police arrest the murderer.
