A police constable and a Juvenile were arrested by police for sexually assaulting a 17 year old girl in Goa.The Goa police constable instead of taking the victim to home, took her to Ponda and raped her. The police constable and the minor boy were arrested on Sunday.

Constable Siddharth Gosavi, attached to the office of Vasco Deputy Superintendent of Police, was arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Ponda town, 30 km from Panaji, an official said.

The incident happened on Thursday night. The constable was duties to drop the victim of rape to her home but instead of dropping her home, the constable took her to a place which 30 km away from ponda and raped her. After assaulting and abuse her sexually whole night the constable dropped her home in the morning, an official said.

The victim’s mother filed a complaint following which Gosavi was arrested, he said. The victim was raped by a minor boy last month.

An official said that the boy has been arrested and has been sent to a remand home. Police have registered the case and started the investigation.

The police constable is arrested by the police and he will be charged for raping a minor.
