Man allegedly beat up hotel staff members after denied entry into bar

Hyderabad: In Somajigudda, A man allegedly assaulted the staff of a hotel after he was not allowed to enter the bar of the hotel. The incident happened on Friday. The man allegedly beat up the staff members after he was denied entry in the hotel's bar. The police was informed about the incident and a case was registered against the accused after taking him into police custody. The accused allegedly raised his hand on the staff members employed at the hotel when he was not allowed to enter the bar. 

According to the source report, the accused went to the hotel at 1 am on Friday with the wish of entering the bar. He was denied entry into the bar since the time for serving liquor was over. The accused then got furious for not letting him enter the bar and for not serving him alcohol.

It is found that The accused allegedly flew into a rage and assaulted some of the staff members of the hotel. Following this, the staff called the police and informed them about the incident. While talking to the TOI, Vijay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Panjagutta division) stated that the fact that he was not allowed entry into the bar infuriated the accused and then he raised his hand on the staff.

Videos of the incident were also circulated on social media and Kumar stated that the situation was stretched too far and was not as bad as it seemed. A complaint against the accused was filed by the hotel staff under Sections 323 of the IPC for punishment for voluntarily causing hurt and Section 506 of the IPC for criminal intimidation. Though a case has been filed, the accused has not been arrested yet.
