Lucknow: A case of attempt to commit suicide by a youth outside the Chief Minister's residence in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow has come to light. The youth has tried to kill himself by consuming poison outside the chief minister's residence. He has been admitted to the district hospital in a critical condition. The youth has given his name as Vimalesh Kumar and is a resident of Mainpur district.

The youth has accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) leader of occupying his farm and land. However, he has not mentioned the leader's name.  When asked the reason for the suicide, the admitted youth in the hospital said that the SP leader had sold his farm and land. He alleged that he also went to the DM, SDM but he was not being heard. The youth has claimed that he also came to cm house twice in despair but was not heard there either.

The youth says he had come to the chief minister's residence for the third time and wanted to meet CM Yogi Adityanath but could not get it. He said he was told that legal action would be taken based on his complaint.
