Chennai: A 22-year-old man who recently came out of the prison, was brutally murdered by a gang in Pulianthope on Sunday evening. The incident was recorded in a CCTV camera.

As per the police  22-year-old Kumaran who was convicted for many theft cases and gang wars, a resident of Otteri Dopigana area Chennai, returned from jail on a bail 15 days ago.

The incident happens, when he was on his way to his home situated at the corporation park near the assistant engineer's office. Suddenly, three men attacked him with knives and iron rods near KM Garden in Pulianthope. The brutal murder was captured on a street CCTV camera.

Pulianthope police registered a case and have started investigating the people around the area. In the Preliminary enquiry, police found that Kumaran’s murder could be possibly due to personal enmity. His body was later shifted to Government Stanley Medical Hospital for postmortem.

Meanwhile, in a similar case was reported in Gummidipoondi, Tiruvallr district in which three men, including a college student, were brutally murdered by a gang on Saturday. The murder has been a case of revenge as there were the fight between two rivals on taking over the drug sale in the area.
