A man was arrested in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram for thrashing his wife,  recording the incident, the incident and circulating the video on social media. The accused, identified as Dileep, was arrested by Malayinkeezhu based on a complaint filed by his wife. In the video Dileep beat up his wife because she was going for a job against his wishes. Dileep can be heard admitting that he hit his wife brutally. 

His wife says she was going for a job to repay the loan. Finally, she agrees to quit it. The victim can be seen bleeding from her face. At the end of the video, Dileep says that his wife will not go to work again.  Dilip’s wife also filed a complaint with the Malayankeezhu police. Dileep was arrested.

As per the police official,  The actor has been remanded to judicial custody. He has been charged under Section 307 (attempt to murder), 498 (A) ( Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 ( Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 294 (B) (sings, recites or utters any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place) of the Indian Penal Code.

This is not the first time when this type of incident came in light. Earlier, in June, a woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district was thrashed and forced to carry her husband on her shoulders wearing a garland of shoes for her alleged relationship with another man. A case against 11 named and other unidentified persons was registered. They also filmed the horrific incident.
