Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court has taken suo moto cognizance of the letter of the disappearance of two children handed over to the orphanage of a couple who have spent five years in jail in the false murder case, the Allahabad High Court has asked the state government to respond with a status report. This order has been given by a division bench of Justice Sanjay Yadav and Justice Jayant Banerjee on a PIL called Looking for Justice. The court has directed to give a copy of the letter of March 1 and other Kajjat ​​to the Additional Government Advocate.

According to the facts of the Agra case, the police filed a charge sheet against the parents of two children on charges of killing a five-year-old child in the year 2015. The court sent the couple to jail and decided to send their five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter to the orphanage. Additional Sessions Judge Agra acquitted the couple while hearing the charge sheet five years later and said that the critical officer had hurriedly completed the investigation and filed a chargesheet in haste to loot the accolades. They did not try to find the real culprit. No evidence of murder charges was also produced against the couple.

After five years of his release from jail, the couple began researching their two children. If they were not found anywhere, they tried to get the high police officers. In the absence of any action, a letter was sent to the Chief Justice of the High Court. The court took cognizance of Suo Moto on the letter and registered it as a PIL.
