Agra: A restaurant worker who came from Agra in Shillong, Meghalaya in search of work, committed suicide after writing that he was forced to leave the job due to lockdown of 21 days in the country. In a message written on WhatsApp to his acquaintances in Meghalaya before his suicide, he alleged that he was the daughter-in-law of a minister responsible for his death, who fired him due to the lockdown.

Suicide victim used to work in the restaurant of the son of Minister of State in UP government. On the information of Meghalaya Police, Agra Police has recovered his body from the roof of the restaurant of the son of Minister of State Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh. The body was identified as Aldrin Lyngdoh, a resident of Shillong. Aldrin, in his message written on WhatsApp before death, expressed his final wish to be cremated in his city. Aldrin has also sent suicide notes to his relatives through WhatsApp.

After which, on the information of the family, ADG Meghalaya informed the Agra ADG about this matter. Taking action on this, the Agra Police recovered the body from the roof of the restaurant on Tuesday morning. The incident is of Shastripuram of Sikandra police station area. In a suicide note written in English, Aldrin Lyngdoh wrote that the job was lost due to the lockdown. He has no other option but to commit suicide.
