Bhubaneswar: A case of a member of the 'National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST)' being attacked by a mob has come to light in Odisha. In this regard, the organization has now sought a report from the chief secretary, DGP and ADG (Crime Branch) of the state. Let us know that the members of the 'National Commission for Scheduled Tribes' had reached there to hear the problems of the tribal community. Let us know that President Draupadi Murmu comes from this community and hails from Odisha.

Let us know that this attack on NCST member Ananta Nayak was carried out in the Keonjhar district. Ananta Nayak was recently attacked twice, raising questions about the security provided to the authorities. He described the attack as an incident under a conspiracy and said the local superintendent of police had already been informed about it. Some people took him with them to the Kanjipani police station saying to resolve a problem and attacked him.

The NCST member further said, "I had to reach Balbhadrapur panchayat of Telkoi block to listen to the grievances of the people. Near Kanjipani, around 300 people surrounded us and asked us to register a complaint. However, they had a different conspiracy. They attacked us. Some members of our team were also injured. The district administration did not provide us with proper security. That's why this incident happened. The NCST team then reached Balbhadrapur by some other route and listened to the complaints of the victims.
