People in our country are hooked to their television sets watching the Lok Sabha elections. Not only in India, even in the United States, Indians residing there have made a beeline at a movie theatre just to watch the Lok Sabha election results. An ardent supported of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has booked an entire movie theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota for people to see the Lok Sabha election results.
An IT professional, Ramesh Noone has organised the screening of the poll results in cinema hall via several news channels- all clubbed together on big screen. The people started to get the results from 9:30 pm as per the US timing.
Approximately 150 persons have bought tickets which has been priced for Rs 1000 or $15, Hindustan Times reported. Other places in the US such as Florida, Washington DC, Texas, and California have also set up election results watch, the report other. The battle for the 17th Lok Sabha was a fiercely fought one where the Opposition tried its best to wrest power from the BJP-led-NDA However, the trends on the result day hint at even bigger numbers for the saffron party than the ones they garnered in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his twitter and tweeted after the Saffron party was all set to retain power for a second consecutive term in the Lok Sabha. The tweet talked about a ‘Vijayi Bharat’ where there would be inclusive development for all.
