Jaipur: A Muslim man in Rajasthan broke his fast to help a pregnant woman during an emergency. The incident is reported from Ladnun town of Nagaur district.

According to the report, Ashraf Khan who is an Indian Army aspirant decided to break his fast (Roza) to donate blood to the woman who is identified as Savitri Devi after she suffered complication during pregnancy. He said that he came across a message on social media platform for urgent blood donation and decide to donate the blood.

As per the report in Times of India, Savitri Devi urgently needed blood as she had low haemoglobin level which required blood transfusion. The woman was admitted at a government hospital in Churu district.

The report quoted Ashraf Khan sayingm “I saw the message with the number of a person who urgently required B-blood for his sister-in-law. I immediately contacted the person and, initially, told them that I can come in the evening as I was fasting. But the family members of told me that the doctors had asked them to arrange for the blood immediately as she had developed complications," the report quoted Ashraf Khan as saying.
