LUCKNOW: After the landslide victory of BJP in Lok Sabha election 2019, A Muslim couple from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh has named their newborn son ‘Narendra Modi.

Menaj Begum, the mother of the newborn son said ANI that she wanted her son to follow the ideal of PM Modi. Menaj said, “My son was born on 23 May, I called my husband who is in Dubai and he asked ‘Has Narendra Modi won?’ so I named my son Narendra Modi. I want my son to do good work like Modi ji&be as successful as him.”

Menaj also praised PM Modi for his good governance and expressed hope that next government’s schemes would benefit her in the long run.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday welcomed the newly-elected NDA MPs in the Parliament, congratulating the first-time MPs as well. He said, "You all deserve greetings but those elected for the first time deserve an even bigger one. I offer all of you my greetings." He told the NDA MPs, "We jointly transformed India."

He further said, "People have accepted us due to our 'seva bhav'. One has to prepare oneself to be always ready to help people even when you move through the lanes of politics and power.”
