Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl resorted to committing suicide after being constantly harassed. The deceased allegedly hanged herself to death after her classmate kept eve-teasing her. The accused was identified as Manjunath. The deceased was a class 12 student. The deceased allegedly hanged herself at her home in Akshay Nagar.

The deceased had informed her father about the accused. The father of the deceased alleged that she had informed him about the accused. It was also alleged that the father had confronted the accused and had asked him to stop the harassment. 

According to the sources, the accused had allegedly assaulted the victim on the road once. Even after being warned, the accused continued harassing the victim. The accused was booked but is yet to be nabbed. 

In a similar incident from Hyderabad, another woman committed suicide after being constantly harassed by a stalker. The deceased allegedly poisoned herself and passed away at the Anupama Hospital in KPHB. The deceased was rushed to the hospital by the accused. The accused was identified as Rakesh Reddy. The accused had allegedly proposed marriage to the deceased on multiple occasions and even after being turned down, he persisted. The accused escaped after admitting the deceased to the hospital.
