Firemen rushed to the spot as soon as the case was reported. Relief and rescue operations have started. The injured persons are being rushed to the hospital.

The same state media has reported a figure of 91 dead. But no one knows the clear number yet. The incident is said to have taken place outside a busy supermarket in the Wellington area of the city. The head of Sierra Leone's National Disaster Management Agency, Brima Bureh Sesay, told local media it was a 'terrible accident.' More than 10 lakh people live in this coastal city.
