Srinagar: In the Kupwara district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have foiled the infiltration attempt of the terrorists. Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have killed a terrorist in this operation. Kashmir Zone Police has told that during last night, on the input of Kupwara Police, the joint team of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir foiled an infiltration bid in Saidpora forward area.

Police have told that the team first stopped the group trying to infiltrate the Indian border. During this, a terrorist was also killed. The search operation is going on in the area. Let us tell you that earlier on the night of February 7 at around 9.40 pm, there was an encounter between BSF jawans and smugglers from a group of 6-7 smugglers who were infiltrating the Indo-Bangladesh border. These smugglers were trying to smuggle by taking advantage of the dark and dense forest in the border of Nadia district. During this, a smuggler attacked a BSF soldier, after which the soldier killed him in retaliation.

Earlier in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri, security forces killed a terrorist trying to infiltrate in Nowshera sector. Last year on November 17 at around 11 pm, terrorists were trying to enter the Indian border. The Indian Army had warned to surrender as soon as they entered the border, but instead of surrendering, they started running back, after which a terrorist was killed in the encounter. Ammunition was also recovered from him.
