Patna: An uncontrolled truck trampled 15 people in about 4 kilometers between Dasharatha Mor 70 feet of the bypass of Patna, Bihar's capital, and 90 feet of Kankarbagh. Three people died tragically in the accident. More than 12 people are injured. There are also some injured whose treatment is going on in a private hospital near Bypass.

According to media reports, Surendra Prasad of Gurdnibagh, Admit in PMCH and Dinesh Das of Parsa Bazar died during treatment. The third one has not been identified. The truck driver attempting to escape hit the 90-foot underpass divider and was injured. The police have seized the truck. The driver Suresh Rai, resident of Didarganj has been arrested by the police. A case under section 304 of the IPC has been registered at the Kankarbagh police station.

City SP East Jitendra Kumar said that the police is investigating the case. Locals are talking about the truck driver being drunk. The police also suspect that the driver has caused such a terrible accident in the state of intoxication. However, the driver was not tested with the breath analyzer due to the spread of corona infection. The driver has a medical test. The investigation report would reveal whether he was intoxicated or not.
