A fraud case reported from Ram Nagar of Vidya Nagar gram panchayat. Here a two-member gang swindled a family of Rs 35 lakh cash at Ram Nagar of Vidya Nagar gram panchayat in the district.

For your information let us share that the fraudsters, Srinivas and Kotesh identifying themselves as personal assistants in Chief Minister’s camp office, called their victim Guguloth Shanker over phone offering business loan of Rs 30 lakh from the CMRF to his daughter Swathi, a Youtuber, under PwD category.

Here it is to be noted that they visited the family on Ugadi day and told them that Swathi was not eligible for business loan. But she and her father, who both were affected by stunted growth, could avail housing loan worth Rs 60 lakh and demanded Rs 35 lakh as deposit, the police said.

However, here it is to be noted after arranging the money, Shanker contacted Srinivas and Kotesh who on May 3 arrived and took Rs 35 lakh cash from their victim while handing over a bag containing the said housing loan money. The victims, who opened the bag the next day, found fake and toy currency in the bag. They lodged a complaint with Chunchupally police on Tuesday night. The police booked a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
