It is said that if a king truly loves his queen, then he can do anything for her. There are many love stories of king and queen in the pages of history, but some love stories are such that people get surprised after reading. Have you ever heard the name of King Baz Bahadur? Probably would not have heard, but in the discussion more than the name of King Baz Bahadur was his queen, whose name was Roopmati. The name of King Baz Bahadur's queen was not only Roopmati but at the same time she really looked like Roopmati. It is said that Roopmati did not take food without seeing Narmada river. Therefore, King Baz Bahadur constructed Rani Roopmati Fort keeping in mind the wish of queen. The river Narmada is seen from the fort of Rani Roopmati. It is said that Roopmati used to reach here after bathing daily and used to eat food after seeing Narmada ji.

It is said that hardly there was any such beautiful place in the world where Shah Jahan was not seen. All the beautiful instruments of Mandu place were seen from the fort of Rani Roopmati, and those beautiful instruments were such that which further enhanced the beauty of Rani Roopmati. Shah Jahan was also convinced of the beautiful litigants of Mandu, but it was not so easy to see the beautiful litigants of Mandu because the doors of Mandu had to go through 12 doors and those doors were not common doors. The specialty of those 12 doors was that the distance required to cross those doors was excessive. To see the beauty of Mandu, the first door that had to be crossed was called Delhi.

King Baz Bahadur loved Queen Roopmati very much, perhaps because before reaching the palace of Rani Roopmati, King Baz Bahadur's palace had to be crossed. King Baz Bahadur used to do all this to protect Queen Roopmati, so perhaps even today the fort of Queen Roopmati is considered a symbol of the love story of King Baz Bahadur and Queen Roopmati.
