Chandigarh: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly murdered her daughters with the help of her lover. The accused allegedly dumped the bodies of the deceased in the Lehra canal. The accused was identified as Pooja and her paramour as Ajay. The accused allegedly murdered her daughters because she wanted to marry her paramour. The deceased were identified as Rekha and Seema. A complaint was filed by the sister-in-law of the accused.

According to the Hindustan Times' report, the husband of the accused had passed away one-and-a-half-month ago. The accused were spotted near the Sunam railway station with the two deceased. The bodies of the deceased were found in the Alisher village of Sangrur and Boha in Mansa.
Officials from Lehra police station stated that the police are conducting raids to arrest Ajay who has been absconding. The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The complaint was filed at the Lehra police station.
This incident came to light days after a woman murdered her husband with the help of her lover in Greater Noida. The accused allegedly promised to pay Rs 3 lakh to the accused for the alleged murder. The accused was identified as Amrita Chandel and her lover as Omvir Singh.
