New Delhi: In an appalling case, a Delhi-based woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men in Gurugram on Saturday night when was waiting for a cab at Iffco Chowk around to go to her home in National Capital. A case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. has been registered against the unidentified men and the police investigation is underway.
As per police officials told Hindustan times said that the 27-year-old in her complaint mentioned that she was waiting for a cab at Iffco Chowk around 1 am to go to her home in Delhi. Then a man called and requested her to meet at the bus stand and he introduced himself as Rashid. Meanwhile, a few minutes later, three men approached her in a white Maruti Swift at Iffco Chowk and offered to drop her at her residence in Azadpur, Delhi. The complainant further mentioned that once she was in the car, the driver drove towards Sector 65, when she objected no one paid heed. The men then took her to an isolated spot and raped her.
The assistant commissioner of police Shamsher Singh further told that the woman could also identify the men who raped her and the cab driver had no role in the case. After which the victim saw a PCR van and she naratted her ordeal.
The police filed an official complaint against the unidentified men. She was also sent for a medical examination in the Gurugram Civil Hospital.
