New Delhi: There is a frequent discussion about the increasing misuse of social media in the country. In this context, a petition was filed by a BJP leader in the Supreme Court. In this petition, the apex court was asked to direct the central government to link social media accounts with Aadhaar. A bench headed by Justice Deepak Gupta has asked the petitioner and BJP leader and advocate Ashwani Upadhyay to file a petition in the concerned High Court in this regard.

The Supreme Court said, 'There is no need to come to the Supreme Court for everything. This matter is under consideration before the Madras High Court, you go there. In her petition, Ashwini Upadhyay has said that in order to curb fake and paid news, the Center should be directed to deactivate fake media accounts.

Let us tell you that many such cases have come up in the past in which false and hateful news was spread from fake social media accounts.
