Aaditya Thackeray: 'Shiv Sena will walk out of Maharashtra within one year'

Mumbai: The Shiv Sena on Thursday threatened to walk out of the government led by saffron Bharatiya Janata Party in Maharashtra within one year.

Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray, the son of Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray, lauded in a rally in Ahmednagar district, 240 km from here.  He said that after separation with the BJP, his party will mark presence to the power on the support of its own strength.

"The Shiv Sena will give up power in one year and come back to power on its own strength. (Sena president) Uddhav Thackeray will make a decision when the party will quit power," Aaditya Thackeray said.

This is the most recent threat by Shiv Sena to give up power. The party, which shares a chilly relationship with its superior associate BJP, had threatened a number of times in the times of yore to walk out of the NDA government.

Ever since the BJP created a government in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena, which forever and a day expected itself as the "big brother" in the state political affairs, has been uncomfortable for having made to play the second swindle to the BJP.
