The TV industry has suffered a lot due to the Coronavirus lockdown. Apart from this, there have been reports of the closure of shows like 'Beyhadh 2', 'Patiala Babes', 'Naagin 4' and 'Vidya'. Aalisha Panwar starrer 'Meri Gudiya' has also been included in this list. In this serial, Aalisha Panwar and Gaurav S. Bajaj were seen in the lead role and it was launched on Star India last year.

A media reporter quoted the sources as saying in his latest report that the show's makers have decided not to start shooting after the lockdown. The Maharashtra government has recently given permission for re-shooting with some guidelines and many producers have also made preparations to resume shooting, but the makers of 'Meri Gudiya' have decided to stop their show. There were also reports of the 'Karthik Purnima' show-closing a few days ago. The story of 'Meri Gudiya' revolved around a mother and daughter.

The story of the show was based on the Gujral family, who used to live in Shimla. Raghavendra Gujral is a well-known businessman and his wife Madhuri is very protective of her daughter. Even after death, Madhuri does not leave her daughter. According to the new guideline received by the government, children cannot come on the set. It is possible that the makers have to decide to stop the show.
