New Delhi: In this summer, people of Delhi may face water shortage in the month of March-April. This information has been given by Raghav Chaddha, Deputy Chairman of Delhi Jal Board and MLA of Aam Aadmi Party. He has told during the press conference that the central government is going to stop the supply of 25% water in Delhi from the month of March-April.

Raghav Chadha said in the press conference that Delhi is a landlocked region. It has no water body of its own. Delhi has to depend on four sources for water supply. Yamuna river water which comes mainly from Haryana. Second, the water of the Ganges river that comes to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh. The third Ravi Vyas river water which comes from Nangal and the fourth source is ground water. He said that water consumption increases during the summer season. For which we try to increase water, but this time the problem may increase for them.

Explaining the reason for this, Raghav Chadha said that the Central Government is going to stop the water of the Beas river which supplies 25% of the water in Delhi. He said that due to any construction work, the complete closure of the Nangal Hydel Channel is going to be done by the Central Government. In Delhi, 25% water supply will be stopped. The people of Delhi may have to face water shortage in the summer season.
