Amritsar: The power crisis in Punjab continues to deepen in the scorching heat. Now, the situation has also intensified. The SAD-BSP alliance had staged a protest in the state on Friday. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today cordoned off CM Captain Amarinder Singh's farmhouse in Siswan. The police had barricaded the agitators to stop them. AAP workers broke the first barricade. After which the police used water cannon on the protesters.

Meanwhile, AAP Punjab State President and MP Bhagwant Mann said that the people of Punjab are protesting and only one person is enjoying sitting in his house. We have come to check the meter of the Chief Minister's farmhouse to find out how many hours of power is being cut here. Mann alleged that the anti-Punjab power deal in force in the Akali Dal and BJP government sits under the rule of the Mafia Raj Captain.

He said that as power minister, CM Amarinder should take moral responsibility for the current power crisis. Terming Sukhbir Badal's performance on the power crisis as a drama, Bhagwant Mann said the Akali Dal and BJP government had entered into wrong agreements with private power companies. He asked former minister Bikram Singh Majithia to explain how many solar power plants and in the name of whom they had been set up under the Akali government.
