Famous actor R Madhavan and the new superstar of South Indian films have re-adopted the Hindi remake of actor Vijay Sethupathi's popular film Vikram Vedha. Actor Aamir Khan has agreed to the Hindi remake of the film, but since the finalization of Saif Ali Khan's name as the second hero of the film, this film seems to be hampered. Director Neeraj Pandey has bought the rights of  the film.

Gayatri and Pushkar, the director duo of the original film, have been signed to direct the Hindi remake of the film. There has been a tussle between Neeraj Pandey and the director duo from the beginning over the stars known for the Hindi remake of the film.

Gayatri and Pushkar want to make Vikram Vedha in Hindi with Madhavan and Shah Rukh Khan. Madhavan and Shah Rukh also had a long discussion about this, but Neeraj Pandey wanted to make this according to his Hindi.

The film has been hanging since Neeraj's veto over Madhavan and Shah Rukh. He has also excluded Gayatri and Pushkar from the film's Hindi screenplay and the film's casting. Last year Neeraj narrated it to many stars after preparing the script for the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha. In the middle of this year, Aamir Khan also heard this screenplay and agreed to it.

The film once again came into the limelight after Aamir decided to play the role of Villain in Vikram Vedha but no big actor was willing to act as the hero of the film. According to sources close to Aamir Khan, he is not starting Vikram Vedha after the completion of shooting of his under-production film Lal Singh Chadha.
