AAP MLA's car overturns while returning from campaigning, condition critical

Lucknow: While returning from campaigning on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway this morning, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA had reached Behata Mujawar police station area at the Unnao border. Suddenly, his car overturned from the highway uncontrollably. Five of the six people in the car were injured in the accident. While the police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information, admitted the injured to Auras CHC for treatment. When the condition became critical, the doctors referred him to the Lucknow Trauma Centre.

Police have informed the family members of the injured about the incident. In the Delhi area, AAP MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi, son Abhayanand, resident of Chandni Chowk Model Town Delhi, had reached Gorakhpur to campaign along with their five other associates. They were returning to Delhi on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway after campaigning came to a halt. Meanwhile, this morning, their car overturned uncontrollably from the highway near Village Dholelov under Behata Mujawar police station area.

On being informed about the accident, the rescue team of UPDA reached the spot. Five of the accomplices, including the MLA, who was in the car, were pulled out and admitted to the community health centre for treatment. When the MLA's condition became critical, the doctors immediately referred him to the Lucknow Trauma Centre. Others present there have also suffered minor injuries. On being informed about the incident, SHO Behata Mujawar Ramesh Chandra Sahni also reached the spot. He said that based on the information, this has been reported to their family members.
