New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Police visited the residence of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan from Okhla, Delhi, on Saturday, May 11, 2024, as part of an investigation. Amanatullah Khan and his son have reportedly been missing from home for several days. UP Police stated that both Amanatullah Khan and his sons have not been cooperating with the investigation. An FIR has been filed against the MLA and his son by Noida Police for creating a ruckus at a petrol pump.

When Noida Police arrived at Amanatullah Khan's house, they found it locked. They left a notice pasted on the door since there was no one to receive it. The incident leading to the FIR involved Amanatullah Khan's son, Anas, who allegedly tried to jump the queue at a petrol pump in Sector-95 of Noida. When the petrol pump attendant refused to oblige, Anas and his companions got into a scuffle. Amanatullah Khan arrived at the scene and reportedly threatened the petrol pump manager. Videos of both incidents went viral on social media.

In response to these events, a team of 25 policemen, led by ACP Arvind Kumar, visited Amanatullah Khan's residence. They pasted the notice since no one was present at the MLA's house. Amanatullah Khan did not attend the AAP MLAs' meeting called by party convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Noida Police is currently trying to determine Amanatullah Khan's whereabouts and his scheduled election programs. However, he remains unreachable by phone. Police have collected witness statements and CCTV footage related to the incidents. They are considering increasing the sections of the FIR, and multiple police teams are actively searching for Amanatullah Khan and his son.
