Amanatullah Khan: No damage to any mosque will be tolerated due to Central Vista project

New Delhi: Ever since the Modi government at the Centre proposed the construction of the Central Vista Project, the project has been a target of environmentalists to historians, intellectuals from various sections of the society and leaders of opposition parties. Now, there is a big statement from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi MLA Amanatullah Khan about the project.

Amanatullah Khan has warned the Central government in a way through a tweet. Delhi Wakf Board Chairman Amanatullah Khan on Thursday wrote to PM Narendra Modi seeking assurance that no mosque will be damaged due to the Central Vista project. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan from Okhla assembly seat said in the letter that there are concerns on social media that some mosques may be demolished due to the project.

He tweeted, "The Central Vista Project can damage the Jabta Ganj Masjid on Mansingh Road, the Mosque of The Vice President's Residence and the Mosque of Krishi Bhawan. In this context, we will discuss with the Prime Minister's Office and Hardeep Singhji. Under no circumstances will the damage to these mosques be tolerated."
