AAP MP Sanjay Singh says, 'Government should give 25-25 lakh rupees compensation to families of Uttarakhand disaster'

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) veteran leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh today spoke in the Rajya Sabha about the natural calamity in Chamoli in Uttarakhand during the Zero Hour. He said that the Central and State Government have announced a compensation of only Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the victims in Chamoli, which is insufficient.

He demanded a compensation of at least Rs 25 lakh from the Center and the state government to the victims' families. He said that 173 people are still missing in the natural disaster, there is a need to expedite the rescue work of these people. The Central Government should make a plan to compensate those who have suffered due to this natural disaster. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) veteran leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh today expressed his opinion in the Rajya Sabha during the Zero Hour regarding the natural calamity in Chamoli, Uttarakhand.

He thanked the Chairman for taking the time to present his stand in Rajya Sabha. MP Sanjay Singh first paid tribute to 34 people killed during the natural disaster in Chamoli.
