The government has launched the Arogya Setu app to track the transition to Corona. Arogya Setu App is mandatory to get out of this house in Uttar Pradesh, while the Central Government has also made the Arogya Setu App mandatory for those who are going to work in the office across the country. Questions are being raised about the privacy and security of the Arogya Setu app. Recently, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also questioned the security and privacy of Arogya Setu App. French hacker Robert Baptiste, who has questioned the security of Aadhaar card, has described the security of Arogya Setu App as weak. After this, the government has rejected this claim and said that the security of the app is strong. Even if we keep the security of the app aside, there are so many shortcomings in the Arogya Setu app that it is hardly going to get any benefit from the government, because Arogya Setu app can easily make any web-browser easy.

What are the flaws in the Arogya Setu app?

The biggest problem in the app is that it has been launched in a hurry, as no update is being given over time. Lockdown has been in place in the country for the last 40 days, while the app is asking if you have travelled abroad in the last 14 days. Usually when an app is made to ask the user questions and answers Users also have the option to ask questions, whereas this is not the case with the Arogya Setu app. When you do a self-test in the Arogya Setu app, you come across some limited questions that are asked about symptoms like fever and cough. Now the thing to note here is that there were three symptoms of corona earlier, but now there are nine, while the Arogya Setu app asks about the old symptom. In the Arogya Setu app, you cannot test yourself by showing symptoms. In this case, this app is not a two-way communication. People can lie about the symptoms being asked in the app, while the government itself has said that action will be taken against those who hide corona disease, then the question That is, if any healer misleads the Setu App, then how will the government know about it.

Recently, a threat symbol has started appearing in the Arogya Setu app, after clicking on it, the app asks you, 'Has the sample been collected for testing? Is Covid 19 Test positive? Now here too one can lie with the app, for example, if someone is 'test positive of Covid 19?' If you click on the option of, then the government will get false information. There are 115 crore mobile users in India, out of which 50.2 crore people use smartphones. In such a situation, 56 percent people do not have a smartphone, while the government is saying that everyone should install the Arogya Setu app on the phone. Crores of people use feature phones that cannot install the Arogya Setu App. Overall, the Arogya Setu app has its own limitations and has many flaws like self-testing. Apart from this, the app is not getting updated with time. Along with security, the government also needs to pay attention to these points, only then this app will be useful.
