Lucknow: A suspect has been arrested from the Ikala temple in the Mussoorie area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Pistols, knives and other sharp weapons have been recovered from him. The suspect has been identified as Aas Mohammad. It is being told that he had entered the temple with the intention of killing Mahamandaleshwar Swami Prabuddha Anand Giri Ji.

It is alleged that Aas Mohammad had entered the temple hiding his real identity. He had determined himself as Sameer Sharma. Police have detained him and are interrogating him. The incident took place on Monday (October 3, 2022). According to reports, Mahamandaleshwar Prabuddha Anand Giri Ji was also in the temple when Aas Mohammad entered the Ikala temple. Mahamandaleshwar has said that Aas Mohammad entered the temple by posing as Sameer Sharma. When the servitors checked his belongings, a pistol, knife and blade cutter came out of it. The servitors and Mahamandaleshwar claim that Aas Mohammad had arrived here with the intention of killing. He had taken a contract of Rs 1 lakh of Mahamandaleshwar.

Anand Giri Ji has said 'Even before this, there has been a conspiracy to kill me. If the servitors hadn't caught the suspect, he would have killed me. The police should investigate the matter properly.'
