Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone‘s first song of the film Pathaan created Ruckus. The song was released by the makers. Various people show their disapproval of Deepika’s saffron Bikini. Their film called for Boycott. The protestor of Bajrang Dal tears the poster of Pathaan, a huge ruckus was created at the screening.

Actor Abhay Deol was asked about the Boycott Trends and Pathaan controversy in a recent interview said, "It is not something unimaginable. If you look at the world today, it is polarised. If you want to make an issue of something, you can easily do it. It is possible. Many people have done it before and will continue to.”

He added, “We do live in a polarised world. I think social media and technology have made information so fast, and it is also disinformation at so many levels. There is this tendency to reduce things to a headline. There is inconsistency everywhere, whether it be the media or people consuming that media. It is a volatile space, and that is an interesting subject, but do I believe in bans and cancel culture? It is more nuanced than that. I think banning doesn't necessarily make it go away. It (the subject) goes underground,”

 Bajrang Dal, a part of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), caused a disturbance at Alpha One Mall in Ahmedabad's Vastrapur during a promotion event for Pathaan. Gujarat VHP spokesperson Hitendrasinh Rajput. Said, "We will not allow Pathaan's screening in Gujarat. Today's protest against the movie's release in Ahmedabad should be taken as a warning by all the theatre owners across the state. They must stay away from releasing the movie in their theatres or multiplexes."
