Abhishek took to his Instagram account to share a throwback photo of his along with his sister. In it, the two are seen enjoying an ice-cream. While the photo looks adorable, Abhishek captioned his post as, "Happy birthday to the big sis!! Thankfully, my hand-mouth coordination has improved since then!!! Have a wonderful day and an even better year, Shwetdi. Love you."  As soon as Dhoom actor shared the picture, comments from social media users started pouring in. Not only their fans, but even several Bollywood celebrities including Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif wished Shweta on her birthday.

On the work front, Abhishek was last seen in Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan, that released last year. The film also features Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. Although the actors gained appriciation from audiences and critics for their role, the film could not fare well at the box office. On the other hand, Abhishek and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were supposed to star in Anurag Kashyap's next film titled Gulab Jamun. But according to recent reports, the project has been shelved.
