In recent past, The Dil Deke Dekho actor Abhishek was in news for a romantic proposal to the love of his life, Akanksha. The proposal started with a Yacht ride at the Gateway of India, Mumbai, followed by going on his knees to propose to marry which resulted in undeniable ‘Yes’. The closure was with some romantic dance and champagne toasting. This all was done because the girl always wished to have such thing.

"Akanksha is very filmi and has always wished to be proposed in a larger-than-life way. So, I booked a private yacht, and got a beautiful gown and a note sent to her. I also hired a high-end luxury car and together we drove to the Gateway of India. On the yacht, the lights were lit and the table was set with her favourite cuisine and champagne. We danced to her favourite romantic number under the moonlight, after which I went down on my knees and proposed to her with a ring. She could not control her tears of joy and hugged me. It was a perfect proposal, a dream she had once shared with me. However, she didn't expect me to remember it and was overwhelmed with joy. There is nothing more important than to see the love and joy in her eyes. I'm glad she accepted my proposal (smiles)." says Abhishek.

Finally, the duo got engaged on October 28, 2017 at Hotel Holiday Inn which was a closed knit affair. Not to miss out, the couple looked gorgeous, happy and content together. Their coordinated yet contrasting outfits made them look ‘just perfect’. The actor danced on the ceremony to surprise her lady love.

The actor said, “I chose a mix of 3 songs which were completely different and unique from each other. I always wanted my engagement ceremony to be not a typical one where we only exchange rings and make merry about it and hence I picked up 3 songs which was much liked and appreciated by all. We together performed on 3 songs and I did a solo number on ‘Tera Hero Idhar Hai’ which left Akanksha was surprised and shocked and it was fun to see her reaction.” The couple will be tying the nuptial knot on November 29, 2017.
