Jammu: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the abrogation of Article 370 has also not solved the problem of Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a function in Nagpur on Saturday, he said that even after repealing most of the provisions of Article 370, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the problem has not been completely resolved. Even now, a part of the population there talks about freedom.

Speaking at a book release function in Nagpur, Bhagwat said that society should reach this part of the population so that they can be integrated with India. Mohan Bhagwat said he had recently visited Jammu and Kashmir and found that the repeal of the provisions of Article 370 had paved the way for development. The Sangh chief said that during a function in Mumbai last month, he noticed that Muslim students from Jammu and Kashmir said that they wanted to remain part of India and now they could remain Indians without any problem.

Mohan Bhagwat alleged that earlier Jammu and Ladakh faced favouritism. He said that 80 per cent of the resources spent in the Kashmir Valley used to go into the pockets of local leaders and the individuals could not get any benefit. He claimed that it has changed now and the lives of the people there have improved.
