ABSU appeals to the Government of India to evacuate stranded Indian students in Ukraine

The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) calls on India's government to rescue and return all trapped Indian students from war-torn Ukraine.

The plight of the students from Assam and the whole country stuck in Ukraine, according to the ABSU's general secretary Khanindra Basumatary, is a cause for worry, and the struggle of the students in the conflict zone is painful and scary.

In solidarity with the victims in Ukraine, the ABSU urged the Indian government and the state of Assam to act fast to rescue all stranded students and citizens from the warzone. ABSU calls to end the war as soon as possible and settle the issue via negotiation, citing the humanitarian crisis and losses to both opposing states for the sake of international peace and Ukraine.
