According to ancient Hindu history and Puranas, there are seven such beings, one of whom is Chiranjeevi. All of them are bound by some promise, rule, or curse, and all of them are endowed with divine powers. All the powers of the eight achievements mentioned in yoga are present in him. According to Hinduism, they are called the seven living superhumans. According to ancient texts, by remembering them in the morning, a man remains long and healthy.

That is, by remembering these people (Ashwathama, Daityaraj Bali, Hanuman, Vibhishan, Kripacharya, Parshuram, and Markandeya Rishi) first thing in the morning, all diseases are eradicated, and man reaches the age of 100. Chiranjeevi is another name for Ved Vyasji. According to ancient beliefs, saying the names of these eight immortals (Ashta Chiranjeevi) every day ensures a long life.

1. Bali: King Bali's charity was discussed far and wide. King Bali had taken possession of Indralok to attack the gods. Bali took place during the incarnation of Lord Vamana in Satyuga. In order to destroy the pride of King Bali, the Lord disguised himself as a Brahmin and asked King Bali for three steps of land in charity. King Bali said that wherever you wish, put three feet. Then God assumed his great form and measured all three worlds in two steps, and after placing the third step on the head of the sacrifice, sent him to Patal Lok.

2. Parashurama: Parashurama was a great sage before the time of Rama. His father's name is Jamadagni, and his mother's name is Renuka. Husband Parayana's mother Renuka gave birth to five sons, who were named Vasuman, Vasushena, Vasu, Vishvavasu, and Rama, respectively. Pleased with the penance of Ram, Lord Shiva had given him an axe; hence, his name became Parshuram.

Lord Parashurama was before Rama, but being Chiranjeevi, he was also in Rama's time. Lord Parashurama is the sixth incarnation of Vishnu. They originated on the Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month; hence, the said date is called Akshaya Tritiya. His birth time is considered to be the confluence of Satyuga and Treta.

3. Hanuman: Anjani's son Hanuman also has the boon of remaining immortal. He has been the supreme devotee of Lord Rama since the time of the Ramayana. Thousands of years later, they are also seen in the Mahabharata period. There are contexts in the Mahabharata where, when Bhima asks him to remove his tail from the path, Hanumanji says that you remove it, but Bhima cannot move his tail even after applying all his strength.

4. Vibhishan: Ravana's younger brother Vibhishan .Those who supported their brother in his fight against him by chanting the name of Ram kept chanting the name of Ram throughout his life. Shriram had given him the boon of being Chiranjeevi.

5. Rishi Vyas: Mahabharatakar Vyas was the son of Rishi Parashar and Satyavati; he was of dark complexion and was born on an island situated in the middle of the Yamuna. Therefore, he was called 'Krishna' because of his dark complexion and 'Dwaipayan' because of his birthplace. His mother later married Shantanu, with whom she had two sons, of whom the elder Chitrangada was killed in battle and the younger Vichitravirya died childless.

Krishna Dwaipayana preferred a life of religious asceticism, but on the insistence of his mother, he gave birth to two sons by the rule of Niyoga by both the childless queens of Vichitravirya, who were called Dhritarashtra and Pandu, the third of whom was Vidura. There is also a memorial book written by him in the name of Vyas Smriti. Indian and Hindu cultures are indebted to Vyasji.

6. Ashwatthama: Ashwatthama is the son of Guru Dronacharya. Ashwathama has Amarmani on his forehead, and that is why he is immortal, but Arjuna took that Amarmani. Because he used Brahmastra, Krishna cursed him, saying that he would live on this earth till Kalpant. That is why Ashwatthama is counted among the seven Chiranjeevis. It is believed that he is still alive today and is wandering because of his karma. From time to time, claims have been made about his appearances in Kurukshetra and other pilgrimages in Haryana. The incident of his appearance in the fort of Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh is also prevalent.

7. Kripacharya: Kripacharya is a famous son of Sharadvan Gautam. Kripacharya was the maternal uncle of Ashwathama and the vice-chancellor of the Kauravas. While hunting, Shantanu had two babies. Shantanu brought them up by naming them Kripi and Krip. Kripacharya was active on behalf of the Kauravas in the Mahabharata war.
