As per the report in Navbharat Times, Ayushmann Khurrana, producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik have been accused of stealing a story to make their next Bala. A case has been reportedly filed in the Bombay High Court by Kamal Kant Chandra who has alleged that the story of Bala is lifted from his creative project Wig.

Kamal Kant said that he had shared the story of a balding man with Ayushmann through WhatsApp. Ayushmann had apparently like the idea and called Kamal Kant for a meeting, which never materialised. The report also suggests that  Badgaai Ho actor stopped responding to Kamal Kant’s messages and now announced a film on the same subject, titled Bala.

Director Amar Kaushik  said that he have no idea about this. He further said, “there is a possibility that the characters could be same. I don’t know his script, nor have I met him. I have been writing this story since day one and it could be a tale about any balding man.”
