Samastipur: A painful incident is coming to light from Samastipur in Bihar, where a young man who had gone to see the Ram Navami fair was attacked with acid. The youth's face is badly burned, and his eyes are also damaged. The case pertains to Bataha village, near Rosra police station. In Bataha village, in the district of Rosda police station, some people threw acid on the face of a young man after beating him up. Due to this, the young man was seriously injured.

On getting the same news, the police recovered the young man and admitted him to Rosda Hospital. From where the family members took him to Begusarai. But seeing his worrying condition, the doctor referred him to Patna. The injured person has been identified as Sanjit Kumar, a 20-year-old son of Ajbalal Mahto, a resident of Khaira village in Rosda. According to the news received, the incident happened after noon on Thursday. It has been told that Sanjit had gone to his maternal grandfather in Bataha village for Ram Navami. At night, he had gone out with his friends to see the Ram Navami fair in the village. The family members told that at the same time, some people caught Sanjit and took him under their control. Then they took him to his home and beat him before pouring acid on his face. Due to this, the young man's eye was damaged.

The family members said that after informing them about the incident, the police went to the criminals' house in the night itself and recovered Sanjit and admitted him to Rosda Hospital. In this connection, Rosda Inspector Krishna Prasad said that the youth has not yet given a statement due to serious injuries. The owner of the house has also not submitted the application. The police have started raids to arrest the criminals. At present, all are absconding. There is a separate discussion about the incident. It is being said that this incident happened during a love affair. There was a dispute going on between the youth and the criminals in this matter for almost two years. Some people had also organised a panchayat in the matter. This incident was carried out after the panchayat. The police are probing from that angle as well.
