A14-year-old teenager studying in class 7 was burnt due to spilling acid from the bag in Kaiserbagh on Saturday evening after a scuffle. At the same time, it is alleged that the teenager was standing outside her house, then the woman living in front took the bag of the jewelry-cleaning artisan and threw it on her. The acid bottle kept in the bag got spilled and the teenager and two women standing near it also got scorched. All three started screaming due to the burning of acid. All three were immediately taken to Balrampur Hospital where doctors sent women home after treatment while the teenager has been admitted.

According to information received from sources, Acting SSP (ASP Eastern) Suresh Chandra Rawat told that acid has fallen at six-seven places including the teenager's face, hands and chest. Her condition is said to be out of danger. A case has been registered against the accused Asha Sonkar under the acid attack case and he has been arrested. The caretaker SSP said that the incident took place at around 4.30 pm. A teenager resident in Kaiserbagh studies in a school in the area. She was standing outside her house.
