The new role on the television show Pishachini fascinates Rutuja Sawant. She claims, "This is the first time I've had a constructive role to play. I performed negative characters for my most recent shows. I am therefore enjoying this for a change."
Talking about her role, the actress says, "My role Shikha is very loving and caring towards everyone. Even the family is very nice to her. There are a few things which will open up slowly and gradually. So it will be interesting. Shikha is Rocky's sister (Rocky is played by Harsh Rajput)."

Harsh and Rutuja have a strong bond. She says, "We have a wonderful connection. We didn't feel as though we didn't know each other when we first met. We frequently pull each other's legs in conversation, between us and on the sets. I sometimes get bored on the days he is not shooting. So I find it fun to have him on set. He is the one I turn to when things go wrong. Any problems I have can be discussed with him."

What's interesting is that Rutuja never wanted to be an actress. She shares says, "Acting was never part of the plan. I thought I will do a job or join my father in his business, but destiny had other plans for me. One day, some casting guy reached out to me; they were casting for a Telugu movie. I did that movie but it never released. But since then I have never looked back."
