Opposition has been constantly attacking the government due to the economic slowdown in the country. But the government never accepted the opposition's claim. In this episode, senior Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad rejected any slowdown in the country. He had said that the NSSO report on unemployment is misleading. The Union Minister had said that had there been a recession in the country, the three films released on October 2 would not have earned Rs 120 crore. The economy is healthy then only films have earned so much. Following this statement, opposition parties condemned it.

Meanwhile, film actor Prakash Raj has taken a dig at Ravi Shankar's statement. Actor Kash Raj, who has often spoken against the BJP, took a dig at Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's statement. He tweeted- 'If three films earn 120 crores, healthy economy is revealed. Will you start making films with your leader in the lead role now? ' For information, let us know that Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has clarified his statement. He said regretfully and announced to withdraw his statement. He accused the media of misrepresenting the statement. Let us tell you that Prakash Raj also contested from Karnataka in this Lok Sabha election. But could not succeed.
