Los Angeles, 45 year old Actor Ron Lester, best known for his role as Billy Bob in the 1999 film "Varsity Blues", has passed away at a Dallas hospital. According to the sources, the actor died on Friday evening of liver and kidney failure.

Lester, who also had roles in "Not Yet Another Teen Movie," "Freaks and Geeks" and "Popular" was hospitalized in November because of problems with his liver and kidneys and had been hospitalized for the last four months.

Weighing nearly 500 pounds at the time, Lester underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2001 and reportedly dropped nearly 350 pounds.
