Salman Khan is one of the most successful and popular actors in the Bollywood industry. His films are called critical proof, so he remains a hit machine at the box office, but very few people would know that there was a time in Salman's career when he almost left the film industry. Not because his films were not running, but because Salman Khan gave many hit films one after the other.

Film Direct has referred to this entire incident from an Instagram account, which states that there was a time in the 90s, when SalmanKhan had stopped working after giving a few hit films in the 90s. The actor, in an old interview with senior journalist Prabhu Chawla, had revealed that he was busy enjoying himself and partying all the time instead of doing films.
One day, his father came to him late in the night and said this: “If there is anybody, any man who can foul it all up for you, it’s going to be you! God doesn’t want it to happen, we, your family don’t want that to happen and your fans most certainly don’t want that to happen. So, again, if there’s ‘anybody’ who can mess it all up, it’s you!” In the interview, Salman Khan had also recalled something that #ArbaazKhan, his younger brother had told him which is an extension to what Salman’s father told him. “If anyone can kill Gabbar Singh from Sholay, it’s Gabbar himself,” Arbaaz told Salman and both these statements shook up the Bollywood superstar and got him motivated to get back on his feet and look for more and more work.
