Famous actor Idavela Babu of Malayalam has turned hostile to another witness after he backed out of his statement to the police in the case of assault on the actress. On Monday, the trial court examined the actress Bindu Pinker has changed her statement which she had earlier given to the police. She allegedly failed to remember her statement during her examination after which the prosecution has requested the court to declare her hostile.

Bindu should have informed the more special Sessions Court about the reasons for the enmity between the survivor and actor Dileep, who is accused of being the mastermind of the attack on the survivor actor for personal revenge. Out of 40 witnesses, Bindu Panikkar is the second witness who presented his case in the court. Earlier, Idavela Babu made contradictory statements during her examination last week.

He said that he did not tell the attacking actress that Dileep had tried to spoil her chances in films, but the police charge sheet has said. If spoken, actor Kunchacko Boban, the 16th witness against whom a bailable warrant was issued for failing to appear in court, stood by the statement given to the Special Investigation Team investigating the matter. The testimony of Rahul Namibesan, brother of actor Remya Nambesan, will be held on Tuesday.
