Mumbai: Amid the political turmoil in Maharashtra, TV actress Ketaki Chitale has been granted bail and has come out of jail after 40 days. Ketki was allegedly in jail for his controversial remarks on NCP leader Sharad Pawar. Let me tell you that Ketaki had posted a poem on his Facebook. It was later alleged that the poem was a tantrum on NCP chief Sharad Pawar. The poem, written in Marathi, imagined an 80-year-old man and mentioned a disease. Sharad Pawar is also suffering from the same disease.
Later, Ketaki's post went viral on social media and all the ncp leaders had opened a front against him. A total of 22 FIRs were registered against Ketaki for the alleged offence. After which the Thane Crime Branch arrested him. Later, when the police were taking him to court, hundreds of NCP workers surrounded him and tried to create a scuffle. An attempt was also made to throw ink on Ketki.
Let us know that the arrest of Ketaki Chitale was also seen with a strong reaction on social media. After the actress was sent to jail, a section was attacking the Uddhav Thackeray government in the state. Many social media users said that, how many dirty comments are made on the prime minister of the country on the day they come, but then not even a single FIR is registered. It is not proper to send Ketki to jail just because of a poem. On this pretext, the issue of constitutional rights and freedom of expression was also raised. However, there was no official response from the NCP chief.
