Actress Sandra Oh becomes the first Asian woman to win two Golden Globes

Finally,the much awaited Golden Globes Awards 2019 held at the Beverly Hinton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Hollywood actor Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh have hosted the prestigious awards. By hosting this ward show, Sandra Oh made history by becoming the first Asian host of the Golden Globe Awards and the first woman of Asian descent to win two Golden Globes.Oh won her first Golden Globe  award  in  2005 for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Television Film for her role as Cristina Yang on ''Grey's Anatomy".

While accepting the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama actress said that "There are two people here tonight that I'm so grateful are with me," the "Killing Eve" star said as she held back tears while "Umma, appa," Oh said, addressing her parents. 

As the host Oh opened the show with a speech acknowledging the people who were present in the show diversifying an industry that has been slow to change.

The actress said that, "I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change,"
