Adani Group Explores $10 Billion Investment in Vietnam: PM Pham Minh Chinh Welcomes Strategic Collaboration

New Delhi: Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, was received by Vietnam's Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh, signaling the exploration of a significant investment of approximately $10 billion by the Indian infrastructure conglomerate in Vietnam over the next decade.

Expressing Vietnam's ongoing welcome to prominent Indian groups, including the Adani Group, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the country's readiness to host investments in strategic sectors such as infrastructure and renewable energy.

Gautam Adani, praising Vietnam's favorable investment climate, presented the conglomerate's cooperation strategy for the Southeast Asian nation. The proposed investment encompasses seaports, logistics, infrastructure, and renewable energy, with a major highlight being the Lien Chieu port project in Da Nang, a central coastal city.

Aligning with Vietnam's development strategy, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh encouraged the Adani Group to bring advanced, new, and clean technologies, along with modern management practices, to contribute to Vietnam's progress.

In the immediate future, the Prime Minister urged close coordination between the Adani Group and Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities for the effective implementation of the Lien Chieu port project. Additionally, discussions were proposed for potential investments in the construction of Chu Lai airport and specific renewable energy projects.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed Vietnam's support and commitment to creating favorable conditions for Indian firms, including the Adani Group, to carry out sustainable and impactful investment and business activities in Vietnam. This collaboration is expected to positively contribute to the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Adani Group, boasting a market capitalization exceeding $200 billion, owns 14 major seaports and seven airports in India.
