THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Adani Group, which took over the running of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in October of last year, is now putting the pedal to the metal to make it world-class, with the most recent proposed acquisition being a state-of-the-art building just a short distance from the airport.

According to a source, discussions have reached a conclusion, and a deal is close to being signed to take over the facility, which is currently operational.

In fact, the Adani Group is now working on the Vizhinjam Port, which is roughly 15 kilometres from the airport. A plan is in the works to develop an existing water body that runs near the airport, with the goal of making the airport accessible from the water as well.

They just established a state-of-the-art, elegant lounge inside the airport, complete with live counters and a buffet serving South, North Indian, and continental cuisine. Apart from that, they have been in talks with numerous international airlines since taking over the airport, and they are sure that a few airlines, including one from Australia, would begin operations shortly.
